How to create controllable images with AI
Stable results come from a clear visual brief, suitable references and task-based evaluation—not from adding endless style words to a prompt.
Write a visual brief
Define the subject, environment, composition, lighting, palette, medium and intended use. Specify what must remain unchanged and what should be avoided. Text inside images needs extra verification.
Use references intentionally
A reference may control composition, identity, product shape or style. Label its role instead of asking the model to “make something similar.” Check licensing and consent before uploading images you do not own.
Evaluate the final asset
Inspect anatomy, perspective, edges, logos, typography and small background details. Test the asset at its final size. For repeated characters or products, document seeds, references and editing steps so the workflow can be reproduced.
